To be eligible for admission to a funded bed in an aged care facility you require a current Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) assessment. To book your ACAT Assessment please call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422. We then ask you to complete an application form which details all the information that we require for admission purposes. Upon return of the application forms your name will be placed on our waiting list. A pre-admission visit and interview is required. The prospective resident is encouraged to visit the Home with family members. We have a dedicated Administration Team available to assist you with your enquiries and preparation regarding admission to our facility, whether you need assistance now or if you are simply planning ahead.

RESIDENTIAL AGED CARE FEES
You may be asked to pay one or more of the following in residential care:
1 Basic daily care fee
This fee is set by the Department of Human Services. Currently it is set at $63.57 per day. This fee increases bi-annually in March and September. ALL residents are asked to pay this fee.
2 Means tested care fee
This amount is determined and advised to you by the Department of Human Services or Department of Veterans’ Affairs based on the outcome of your Assessment of Income and Assets. Should you choose not to complete the Assessment form, you may be asked to pay the maximum amount. 3 Accommodation payment
Based on the outcome of your Assessment of Income and Assets by the Department of Human Services, your accommodation payment costs may be met:
- In full by the Australian Government , or
- In part by the Australian Government and part by you, or
- In full by you
Our accommodation payment amount is set out in our Accommodation Pricing Information and Accommodation Features booklet and on the My Aged Care Website. You can pay the accommodation payment amount as either a lump sum (RAD), a daily payment (DAP) or a combination of both. Should you choose not to complete the Assessment form, you will be asked to contribute fully to your accommodation payment.
We recommend that you seek financial advice regarding options for payment of nursing home fees as required.
Other information regarding our facility:
- Nursing home fees are charged monthly in advance, and statements detailing the month’s fees and any other applicable charges, are emailed at the beginning of the month.
- Payment of the account is by direct debit. A form will be provided for you to complete to give us the authority to do this.
- Pharmacy account needs to be arranged by the family upon admission.
- Other expenses such as hairdressing will also be included with your monthly fees.
